Through its unique relationships with high quality wine producers, long term relationships with restaurateurs, extensive experience with existing distribution networks for wines and outstanding ability to select high quality wines at all price points, the Company provides buyers with superior product, service and pricing.  Our goal is to supply wines selected for their concentration, purity of flavors and expression of their “terroir.”

The foundation of our company was to bring exceptional wine values and high quality service to wine buyers in New York and beyond.

Prescott Wines was formed in March 2001 in reaction to the poor selection and short supply of imported wines available to New York restaurants and stores, the disappointing service available from existing suppliers and to minimize the complexity that arises from the existing “three-tier distribution system.”

By traveling the world, attending trade shows and meeting constantly with wine producers and brokers, Prescott Wines has developed a rapidly expanding portfolio of wines from Austria, Hungary, Italy, France, and Spain.  Prescott Wines’ original portfolio was created by Jim Erwin, a Company founder and New York City restaurateur for 25 years and Kevin Murphy, its co-founder, an investment banker with a passion for fine wine at good values.
